Ukraine reports violation of state border by Russian helicopter
The State Border Guard Service of Ukraine reports a violation of the border by a helicopter from Russia, the statement was published on the agency's website.
“The border guard patrol of the State Border Guard Service of Ukraine in the Sumy region recorded a helicopter flight from the Russian Federation at a distance of about 50 meters into the territory of Ukraine,” the message says.
According to the Ukrainian department, the helicopter flew into the country, after which it turned around and left the airspace of Ukraine.
The State Border Service notes that it immediately notified the border department of the border service of the FSB of Russia about the violation of the state border regime and demanded to report the ownership of the helicopter and the circumstances of the violation.
“A response is now expected from the Russian border guards,” the agency says.
On March 14, Ukrainian border guards detained a Russian and a Belarusian for illegal border crossing.
