Ukraine introduces visa-free regime for foreign volunteers

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky on Monday, February 28, signed a decree introducing a visa-free regime for foreign volunteers who want to help defend Ukraine from Russian invaders.

– In connection with the armed aggression of the Russian Federation against Ukraine, I decide to introduce from March 1, 2022, for the period of martial law… a visa-free regime for entry into Ukraine for citizens of foreign states wishing to join the International Defense Legion of Ukraine, except for citizens of a state recognized as an aggressor state, – Decree No. 82/2022 says.

The President also ordered the Cabinet of Ministers to take appropriate measures.

It is reported that this decree comes into force on the day of its promulgation.
