Ukraine has set an anti-record for new cases of coronavirus. About this on Saturday, November 21, reports “Strana.ua”.
Over the past day, 14,580 infected have been identified in the country. On the eve this figure was 14,575 people. Almost 78 thousand patients recovered, 216 died from complications. Among the infected were 610 children and 590 health workers. Most of the infected were registered in Kiev (1213), Zaporozhye (810) and Dnepropetrovsk regions (1342).
In total, since the beginning of the pandemic, more than 612 thousand cases of coronavirus have been registered in Ukraine. The country decided to fine for being in public buildings and transport without masks. The authorities also introduced a weekend quarantine: from 00:00 Saturday to 00:00 Monday, only critical infrastructure objects can work: grocery stores, pharmacies, transport.
President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy, head of his office Andriy Ermak and Speaker of the Verkhovna Rada Dmitry Razumkov have already become infected with the coronavirus. The elected mayor of the city of Konotop died from complications caused by COVID-19.
