Ukraine and the Baltic States are joining forces to stop the aggression of the Russian Federation

On Thursday, March 24, the speakers of the parliaments of Ukraine, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia signed a joint statement on the Russian war in Ukraine.

It informs about joining efforts to stop Russian aggression and restore security in Europe.

This is stated in the message published by the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine on its social networks.

Document key points:

• the need to accelerate Ukraine's EU membership;
• supporting continuation of NATO's open door policy;
• a call to the international community to immediately create a no-fly zone over Ukraine to prevent massive civilian casualties;
• a proposal to the international community to impose a total trade embargo against Russia;
• a call for an increase in the supply of all weapons needed by Ukraine to win the war;
• The war crimes of the Kremlin regime must not go unpunished by the International Court of Justice and the International Criminal Court;
• note the need to start thinking about rebuilding Ukraine now and advocate for a comprehensive assistance plan to rebuild Ukraine's economy.
