Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba says Ukraine has engaged its allies in preparing a coordinated response to Russia's blockade of the Black and Azov Seas.
– Through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, we immediately informed the UN Secretary General, the EU, the leadership of friendly states about these actions of the Russian Federation, and began bilateral consultations with the Black Sea countries in order to develop common actions, because the Black Sea and the security of the Black Sea concern each of us, so here is the answer Ukraine alone will not be enough,” Kuleba explained during a press conference in Kharkiv on 11 February.
He also stressed that the Kremlin should not manipulate the topic of the exercises in order to block trade routes in the Black Sea.
– New information has appeared regarding the change in the coordinates of the exercises, because the situation is dynamic, we are closely monitoring everything and are in constant consultations with partners to contain these actions of Russia and our collective actions in response, – said Dmitry Kuleba.
He also pointed out that at the initiative of Ukraine, the issue of blocking the Black and Azov Seas will be the subject of negotiations during the visit of the NATO Secretary General to Romania, and the Foreign Ministry will be in touch with the Alliance and Romania on this matter.
