The UK has decided to double the number of British troops as part of the NATO mission in Estonia, as well as to send tanks, armored fighting vehicles and other military equipment into the country because of the allegedly impending Russian invasion of Ukraine. It is reported by Reuters with reference to the Minister of Defense of the United Kingdom Ben Wallace.

“Together with our NATO allies, we are deploying troops and assets on land, at sea and in the air to bolster European defenses in response to the Russian military buildup on Ukraine’s border,” the defense minister said.

Earlier, British Prime Minister Boris Johnson said that London plans to deploy Typhoon fighters of the Royal Air Force (Air Force) and ships of the Navy (Navy) in South-Eastern Europe. In addition, he noted that London is actively increasing military assistance to Ukraine, and preparations are underway to strengthen the British-led NATO forces in Estonia.
