Boris Johnson
British Prime Minister Boris Johnson admitted that a second wave of coronavirus infection is starting in the country. He told reporters about this, RIA Novosti reports.
The British Prime Minister also did not rule out the adoption of the most stringent measures, up to a new national quarantine. “We are considering any options. I absolutely do not want a second national lockdown, this is the last thing everyone wants, ”he said.
Johnson noted that the only way to avoid strict measures is to follow the rules. However, he acknowledged that it is difficult for the population to follow the rules for a long time.
Over the past day, the increase in the number of cases of coronavirus in the UK has become a record since May 8: COVID-19 was found in 4322 people. According to some reports, government science advisers are recommending a two-week national quarantine in October.
On September 18, Israel was the first in the world to resume isolation due to coronavirus. Citizens are forbidden to leave more than a thousand meters from home: the exception is trips to work, to buy food, essential goods, medicines, to help people in difficult situations, as well as to attend a funeral, court or the Knesset, or to participate in various religious ceremonies and rituals.
