UK intelligence agencies feared a shift from anti-vaxxers to violence. Their concerns were reported by The Observer, citing sources.
According to the publication, opponents of vaccination create “extremist” communities in social networks that promote hatred on national or racial grounds. “The Prime Minister's Office receives these reports directly. The Prime Minister knows them. There is a consensus that we have not won a clear victory. Next time we will need to act better,” said one of the newspaper’s interlocutors.
It is known that the groups consist of several thousand people, so, in one of them there are already more than seven thousand. It publishes advice on avoiding phone surveillance and discusses a possible riot.
