Russia was suspected of trying to disrupt the Olympic Games in Tokyo. The Guardian writes about this with reference to the National Cybersecurity Center of Great Britain and the US intelligence services.
According to the source, Russian military intelligence was planning a cyber attack on the 2020 Olympic and Paralympic Games. Moreover, the disruption of the competition was allegedly planned long before they were postponed to 2021 due to the coronavirus pandemic.
