Earlier on Saturday, November 7, Irishman Conor McGregor was on the first line of the rating. Fans of mixed martial arts and the media outraged this decision, pointing out that the Irishman had his last fight in January.
Later, the rating was returned to the previous version, updated on October 27. McGregor was again placed in 11th place.
On October 24, Nurmagomedov defeated American Justin Gage at the UFC tournament, retaining the promoted lightweight title. After the fight, he announced his retirement from the sport. The athlete leads the ranking of the best fighters in the UFC, excluding weight categories. On account of his 29 victories and not a single defeat.
