The Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) got rid of the Russian Roman Bogatov – the promotion broke the contract with the athlete after the scandal with the alleged “neo-Nazi” tattoo of his mentor Alexei Kiser. TASS reports.

The UFC notified Bogatov of the termination of the contract. The fighter was not informed about the reasons for the termination of cooperation.

On July 12, at the UFC tournament on the island of Yas Kiser, he was Bogatov's second. Later, one of the journalists drew attention to the coach's tattoo, considering it “neo-Nazi”. Then Kiser himself, being a mixed style fighter (MMA), lost his debut in the UFC. It is noteworthy that Chisanga Malata, who pointed to the tattoo, admitted that he made a mistake and incorrectly identified the drawing, mistaking Slavic symbolism for neo-Nazi.

Bogatov lost to Brazilian Leonardo Santos by a referee decision in his UFC debut. The Russian suffered the first defeat in his career. His track record includes ten victories. He won the championship belt of the domestic organization M-1 Global.
