Khamzat Chimaev
New Zealand mixed style fighter (MMA) Israel Adesanya commented on the performances of the Swede of Chechen origin Khamzat Chimaev. Reported by MMA Fighting.
During a conversation with reporters on the eve of the Absolute Fighting Championship (UFC) tournament, Adesanya admitted that he had not watched Chimaev's fights, but was going to draw attention to him. At the same time, the reigning champion insulted the Swede, calling him a “rat lip”. After that, Adesanya received an answer from Chimaev.
Chimaev, who remains an undefeated fighter, reacted to the New Zealander's words on his Twitter account. “What you said will cost you your belt,” he remarked.
On September 26, Adesanya will fight with Brazilian Paulo Costa. The New Zealander also knows no defeat in the Octagon and holds the UFC middleweight belt.
Chimaev made a bright debut in the UFC and set a record with three wins in 66 days. In total, the Swedish athlete has nine victorious fights.
