In Italy, in addition to the opening game, the two other group games of the “Squadra Azzurra” and a quarter-finals will take place.
The European Football Union has confirmed Rome as the ninth host city for the European Championship. This was announced by UEFA on Wednesday after the Italian government approved EURO games in front of fans this summer. The four games in the Stadio Olimpico, including the opening game between Italy and Turkey on June 11, can take place with a spectator load of at least 25 percent, the Italian association FIGC announced on Tuesday.
In Italy, in addition to the opening game, the two other group games of the “Squadra Azzurra” and a quarter-finals will take place. UEFA had given Rome, Munich, Bilbao and Dublin a deadline of next Monday to provide further information on the admission of viewers. The UEFA Executive Committee then decides on the number of hosts for the tournament from June 11th to July 11th.
