What is known about the attack on the airfield

According to the information released, locals heard explosions in the area of the military airfield on Wednesday night, June 25. However, despite the corresponding reports, no exact information or confirmation of the attack was published at that time.

Now, sources of Russian media in the Ministry of Civil Defense, Emergencies and Elimination of Consequences of Natural Disasters have confirmed that allegedly Ukrainian UAVs attacked the Kushchevskaya military airfield.

By the way, in May 2024, the SBU together with the Ukrainian Armed Forces' Unmanned Systems Forces already attacked this airfield. There were dozens of aircraft at this airfield that attack Ukrainian positions on the front: Su-34, Su-25, Su-27, MiG-29.

Drones also attacked the Kushchevskaya airfield at the end of April 2024. At that time, they destroyed a warehouse with universal modular gliding kits. The enemy could use them to transform regular bombs into guided ones.
