The UAE has successfully tested artificial rain technology. So, on June 14, torrential rains were recorded in some parts of the country in the 50-degree heat.
The new technology is being developed by the staff of the Dubai Academy SANAD with the support of scientists from the British University of Reading. It was launched in pilot mode this spring in especially hot and arid regions of the kingdom. The principle of operation is based on the work of special drones used for seeding clouds. So, drones, by supplying electrical discharges in the clouds without the use of chemical compounds, contribute to the occurrence of rain.
It is noted that at this time of the year it never rains in the region, which indicates the success of tests of rain-stimulating technology. Rains are also expected in the neighboring country of the UAE – Qatar.
