The inhabitants of the island state of Madagascar suffered the most from the elements.
As a result of the destruction, floods and landslides caused by tropical typhoon Ana, 70 people have already died in Madagascar, Mozambique and Malawi over the past six days.

Tropical storm Ana originated in the southwestern part of the Indian Ocean, hit the east coast of Africa and brought heavy rainfall and squally winds.
In the island state of Madagascar, where typhoon Ana began to rage on January 22, 41 people were killed, in Mozambique – 18, in Malawi – 11. Several hundred people were injured, tens of thousands of homes were destroyed.
In Madagascar, 110 thousand people were forced to leave their flooded homes. Refugees are given shelter in local schools.
In Mozambique, half a million residents of the country suffered from the effects of a tropical storm, where the elements destroyed about 10 thousand homes.
In neighboring Malawi, the authorities declared a natural disaster regime. A significant part of the country has been without electricity for the third day.
Earlier, a powerful storm “Barra” flooded the north of Spain. Such bad weather has not been seen here for 20 years.
