Two Ukrainians believed dead rescued from ruins in Turkey – ambassador

Ukrainians were rescued from the rubble in the city of Hatay.

He also promised to provide details of the story later.

Note that earlier on the same day, the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry reported that two citizens of Ukraine could have died during the earthquake in Turkey, and four more received injured.

Recall that on February 6, a powerful earthquake of magnitude 7.8 occurred in Turkey and Syria, destroying hundreds of buildings. As of the evening of February 7, the earthquake in Turkey killed 4,544 people and injured 26,721 people. As for Syria, 1,782 people died there, and another 3,749 people were injured.

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced on February 7 that a state of emergency was introduced for three months in 10 provinces affected by the earthquake.
