On the island of Corfu, rescuers found the bodies of a woman and her daughter in the sea, who, according to preliminary data, were Ukrainian tourists.

A joint operation by the coast guard and the fire brigade was organized to retrieve the bodies of women on the island of Corfu. The deceased, a mother and daughter, were Ukrainian women aged 52 and 32 respectively, and were found in the area of the city of Sidari.
They were relaxing in the coastal area of ”Apotripiti” and decided to go swimming, despite adverse weather conditions, including a storm wind from the north. The women were identified by a bracelet on their wrists. They stayed at a hotel on the Canal de l'Amour, and according to hotel staff, the family were regulars – they came to Corfu every year for a holiday.
Recall that Greece refused to supply Ukraine with air defense systems due to concerns that this could undermine its security.
