The air defense forces of the Donetsk People's Republic (DPR) intercepted two Tochka-U missiles, RIA Novosti reports citing a statement from the DPR Territorial Defense Headquarters.

Due to the rocket of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU), residential buildings and outbuildings were damaged. However, the bomb did not work.

On Thursday, February 24, Russia launched a special military operation in the Donbass. Russian President Vladimir Putin addressed the nation. The head of state referred to requests for military assistance from the heads of the Donetsk and Lugansk People's Republics (DNR and LNR).

During the special operation, the Russian authorities “will strive for the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine.” According to Putin, the purpose of what is happening is to protect people who are subjected to bullying and genocide.
