Azerbaijan and Uzbekistan agreed to cooperate in the military sphere.

Azerbaijani Defense Minister Zakir Hasanov and his Uzbek counterpart Bakhodir Kurbanov Tuesday, June 21, put their signatures under a document providing for military-technical cooperation.

TRT reports this.

The agreement on cooperation between the two post-Soviet states in the military sphere was signed within the framework of visit of Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev to Uzbekistan.

During the visit, 18 documents were signed between the governments, ministries and departments of the two countries in the presence of the heads of state. These are, in particular, agreements on cooperation between regions, industries, international road traffic, combating illegal migration, quarantine and plant protection, as well as a cooperation program in the field of tourism.

Recall that Baku calls on the Kremlin to withdraw the army from the territory of the unrecognized Nagorno-Karabakh and no longer use this term as the name of the territories of Azerbaijan.
