On the evening of December 28, a fire in the ward of the intensive care unit of a regional hospital was lit in Kosovo. The flame originated on the first floor of the building.
According to the State Emergency Service, the fire killed two people (bedridden patients) and injured four medical workers.
Two people are in serious condition and two citizens & # 8212; in a state of moderate severity. The doctors were hospitalized with burns in the hospital.
The GSChS fighters rescued three patients from a neighboring ward. The hospital staff managed to evacuate 12 patients before the emergency arrived.
The fire damaged the ward, medical equipment and beds on an area of 55 square meters. m. More than 20 people (including 11 rescuers) used six pieces of equipment to extinguish the fire.
