In Poland, two new subvariants of mutations of the omicron strain of coronavirus were found. This was told by the Deputy Minister of Health of the country, Waldemar Kraska, TVN24 reports.
According to the official, the Ministry of Health does not yet know how these sub-options will behave and how the disease will proceed with them. “Coronavirus will not just disappear from our daily lives,” Kraska said, stressing that it is difficult to predict whether another, new COVID-19 mutation will appear.
Since the first case of coronavirus infection was detected in Poland on March 4, 2020, 5.3 million people have been infected with the virus. In total, 108 thousand infected people died from COVID-19 in the republic. More than 96 percent of newly reported cases are omicron strains.
