Two more social networks blocked Trump's accounts

Two more social networks – Facebook and Instagram – have blocked the accounts of US President Donald Trump. This is stated in their statements.

In their Twitter account, Facebook pointed out two violations of the rules on Trump's page, in connection with which it will be blocked for 24 hours. This means that the president will not be able to publish anything during this time.

“We are also shutting down President Trump's Instagram account for 24 hours,” Instagram head Adam Mosseri tweeted a similar Facebook post on Twitter.

Earlier, Twitter blocked the account of US President Donald Trump for 12 hours. The social network also threatened Trump with permanent blocking of his account if he does not delete the last three posts, which, according to the company, violate the rules of the social network. The reason for this was the publication of a video in which Trump addressed the protesters outside the Capitol, urged them to go home and announced the elections “stolen” from him.

On January 6, Trump supporters stormed the Capitol Building and surrounded the Senate Hall on January 6. The Senate and House of Representatives have suspended the meeting, which was planned to approve the results of the electoral college vote. According to these results, Democrat Joe Biden won the presidential election. Trump himself has called on supporters to act peacefully and support the police. Later it became known that the Capitol building in Washington was cleared of protesters.
