A real battle ensued between the accomplices of the terrorists and the prison guards.

On the evening of Thursday, January 20, an attack was carried out on the Al-Sanawiya prison in northeastern Syria – in the city of Al—Hasakah, which is not under the control of government forces. As a result of the attack with the use of cars packed with explosives, at least 20 Islamic State militants escaped from prison.

This is reported by the Al-Mayadin TV channel.

The accomplices of the terrorists blew up two cars located at the entrance.

After that, as Turkish journalist Mutlu Civiroglu reported on Twitter, a real fight began between the attackers and the prison guards. To monitor the situation, groups of Kurdish special forces were sent to the scene of the attack.

Fighters of Kurdish formations from the “Forces of Democratic Syria” (SDS), who control the city, blocked the Guveiran quarter, where the prison is located. Exits from the city of Haseke are also closed.

The fugitives are also being sought by the US military: their helicopters are circling in the sky.

Earlier, six Palestinians escaped from Israel’s strictest prison, Gilboa, where terrorists are being held, overnight. The prisoners dug a tunnel into the sewer shaft with a rusty spoon for several months.
