Twitter, Facebook and Whatsapp appealed against fines of 36 million rubles
Twitter, Facebook and Whatsapp have all appealed against fines for refusing to localize Russian data, RIA Novosti reported.
The total amount of fines for the three resources was 36 million rubles.
Earlier, the Tagansky court of the capital considered administrative protocols in relation to American Internet services and fined them for refusing to localize databases of domestic users on the territory of the Russian Federation.
In early September, it was reported that Facebook faces a fine of 40 million rubles, and Twitter and Telegram 16 million each for failure to remove prohibited content at the request of Rospotrebnadzor.
