Honored coach of Russia Eteri Tutberidze spoke about the prospects of working with the world champion in women's single skating Elizaveta Tuktamysheva. This is reported by TASS with reference to Channel One.
“At one time I wondered why she didn’t jump quarter jumps,” the specialist said. She also appreciated the chances of inviting an athlete to her group, noting that she would never do it. “Not because she is uninteresting, but because there is ethics, coaching ethics,” added Tutberidze.
Tuktamysheva trains under the guidance of Alexei Mishin. The athlete is the world and European champion in single skating. She also has the bronze of the continental championship and the silver of the world championship.
Tutberidze has trained several Olympic champions, as well as the winners of the world and European championships in women's single skating. Among her pupils are Evgenia Medvedeva, Yulia Lipnitskaya, Alina Zagitova, Alexandra Trusova, Alena Kostornaya, Anna Shcherbakova and others.
