In total, Ukraine offered six EU countries assistance in overcoming the consequences of the floods.

Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk said that he was “touched” by the offer from the Ukrainian government to send assistance to Poland to eliminate the consequences of large-scale floods. Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal announced the readiness of hundreds of rescuers equipped with special equipment to help combat the floods.

Tusk wrote about this on the social network X (Twitter).

The Polish Prime Minister said that he was touched by the words of solidarity with Poland and the readiness to immediately send aid.

“Recently, Ukrainian Prime Minister Denys Shmyhal sent me statements of solidarity with Poland and readiness to immediately send hundreds of rescuers equipped with special equipment to combat the floods. Very touching,” the Polish Prime Minister noted.

Recall that Eastern Europe was covered by Cyclone Boris. Poland, Romania and the Czech Republic are suffering from bad weather. There are severe floods, and in Austria – snowfalls and avalanches. In Slovakia and Hungary, there is a threat of the Danube overflowing its banks due to heavy rainfall. Due to large-scale flooding in Poland and the Czech Republic, operators of both countries have temporarily cancelled a number of flights to Ukraine.
