Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk allowed the expansion of the ban on imports from Ukraine and named the condition.

Poland may introduce a ban on import of new Ukrainian goods if the European Union does not offer any solution to the problem for Polish farmers.

This was stated by Polish Prime Minister Donald Tusk, writes The Guardian.

“We are discussing the possibility of extending the embargo to other products if the EU does not find a more effective way to protect the Polish and European markets,” said the head of the Polish government.

Note that last year Warsaw unilaterally stopped importing Ukrainian grain.

Protest of Polish farmers: latest news

Thousands of Polish farmers staged the largest protest in recent memory in the center of Warsaw on February 27th. They are holding posters with crossed out Ukrainian flags and brought a straw Abrams tank.

Earlier, Polish protesters committed the largest sabotage against Ukrainian farmers. This time, Ukrainian grain was poured from eight cars directly onto the rails, about two hundred tons of corn were spoiled.

In addition, Polish farmers promised on March 1 to block the checkpoint on the border with another country. Farmers are preparing for two new blockades: on the border between Poland and Germany in the city of Šwiecko and near Lithuania on the road at the Kalwaria-Budzisk border point.
