Cavusoglu stressed that Ankara and Moscow continue to cooperate despite their differences of opinion. As an example, he cited the interaction of countries to resolve conflicts in Syria and Libya. “We will also discuss the topic of Azerbaijan and Armenia. It is necessary that the security of the borders of Azerbaijan be ensured within the framework of international law. In this matter, we will consider the steps to be taken, ”the diplomat said at a press conference in Ankara.
It is expected that negotiations between Cavusoglu and Lavrov will take place in Sochi on December 29. The ministers will take part in a meeting of the Joint Strategic Planning Group, which operates within the framework of the Russian-Turkish Cooperation Council of the highest level.
