At least 25 people have died in an earthquake in Izmir province in western Turkey.
“As a result of the earthquake, 25 people were killed, 804 were injured,” TASS quoted the Emergency Situations Department of Turkey as saying.
An earthquake hit Turkey the day before, 24 dead were reported.
Russian leader Vladimir Putin expressed his condolences to Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan in connection with the loss of life and widespread destruction.
