In Turkey, the daily mortality rate of patients with coronavirus has updated a record, 153 people have died in the last day. RIA Novosti writes about this with reference to data from the country's Ministry of Health.

The head of the department, Fahrettin Koca, said that a total of 6,713 new cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in the country, 453,535 in total, 12,511 died. 4,409 patients are in serious condition.

Koca previously stated that the COVID-19 pandemic in Turkey has reached its second peak. The day before, on November 22, it became known about the largest number of detected cases of coronavirus per day since the beginning of the pandemic – 6017.

Earlier in November, it was reported that Turkey wanted to produce a Russian vaccine against the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus Sputnik V. Russian and Turkish Health Ministers Mikhail Murashko and Fahrettin Koca met at the initiative of the Turkish side. The press service of the Russian Ministry of Health said that Ankara is interested in production “at the facilities of Turkish pharmaceutical manufacturers after conducting toxicological studies as provided for by local legislation.”
