Fidan emphasized that the summit participants in Switzerland know about Ukraine’s “peace formula,” while at the same time he mentioned the ultimatum of Russian citizen Putin for “peace negotiations.”
“Regardless of the proposed content and terms, these are important steps and a glimmer of hope with which to begin. However, each side views the other's actions as an extension of a broader military effort.”,” he stated.
The head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry believes that if Russia were present, “this summit could be more result-oriented.”
“We believe there is a growing need for a comprehensive and inclusive strategy that uses diplomacy and negotiation to ensure implementation of measures already taken.”, — said Fidan.
