Russian tourists massively go on vacation to a neighboring country without access to the sea – Belarus.
The most popular foreign tourist destination in 2022, Belarus became – the Russians massively went to a neighboring country to rest. Due to restrictions on Russian airlines after the war unleashed by the Kremlin, it has become more difficult for Russian citizens to visit even their long-time favorite Turkey.
This is reported by the Russian media, citing an analytical study.
Second and third places in terms of popularity in the ranking of tourist destinations – Turkey and Kazakhstan. Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan also became the leaders in the growth of the tourist flow.
Until recently, Turkey led the top destinations, followed by Belarus and Finland.
Recall that this year Turkish resorts will become significantly fewer Russians. Up to 1.7 million of them can arrive this season – a third of last year's number.
