Turkey will soon withdraw from NATO, and the organization itself may well be called collapsed. This opinion was expressed by the head of the Association of Eurasian Governments Hasan Cengiz in an interview with Lenta.ru correspondent Khayal Muazzin.
“NATO's term has already expired, the brain system is dead. This was confirmed by Macron, and Merkel announced this a year ago. Soon NATO will collapse, they themselves understand that they cannot ensure the security of their allies, ”Cengiz said.
He predicted NATO's destruction within the next 2-3 years and predicted that Russia would create a new strategic pact, which would include Turkey. And Ankara's imminent exit from the alliance will mean its collapse.
Last November, French President Emmanuel Macron announced that NATO was experiencing “brain death.” In his opinion, the United States is increasingly turning away from Europe. The French president also noted that it is time for Europe to wake up and begin to build up its power, as it is now “on the brink of the abyss.”
