Turkey announced its intention to use Black Sea gas

Turkish Energy Minister Denmez: in 2022 the country will use the Black Sea gas

Turkish Energy and Natural Resources Minister Fatih Denmez spoke about plans to use the Black Sea gas in the country this year. Reported by Anadolu.

During a visit to the Filyos natural gas processing plant under construction in the Chaijuma region, the head of the department said that the initial capacity of the plant will be ten million cubic meters per day. Later this figure is planned to be increased to 40 million cubic meters.

The area of the plant will be 320 hectares. The industrial complex will be commissioned in the first quarter of 2022.

“After connecting this facility to the Turkish distribution system, the Black Sea gas will be used in all parts of Turkey. Both the Turkish people and the state itself will benefit from this, ”he said.

At the end of August, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan announced his desire to increase natural gas supplies via the Turkish Stream. The head of state noted that Ankara and Moscow attach great importance to cooperation in the economic sector.
