Former Russian boxer Konstantin Tszyu appreciated the chances of compatriot Alexander Povetkin in a rematch with Briton Dillian White. His words are quoted by “Championship.com”.
Tszyu considered that the probability of Povetkin's victory is high. “He's a good boxer, they don't just become Olympic champions in amateurs. He has a good boxing school, I hope that he will sort out his mistakes and will work, ”Tszyu said. The athlete added that White needs to draw the right conclusions from the defeat.
On August 30, White praised Povetkin and announced his desire to have a rematch. The fight is to take place on November 21.
On August 22, Povetkin knocked out White in the fifth round of their fight. The 40-year-old Russian heavyweight won the World Boxing Council (WBC) interim world champion belt, as well as the WBC Diamond honorary belt. The athlete won the 36th career victory, 25 of them by knockout.
