Trump's 'Fateful Decision' Causes Panic in Kremlin: US Strike Iran

by alex

The US has struck three nuclear sites in Iran, causing panic in the Kremlin because it indicates that the US is ready to engage in large-scale conflicts. The Kremlin is worried because the US attack likely exposed the ineffectiveness of Iran's air defense system, which was provided in part by Russia.

USA and Iran

The US has struck three nuclear sites in Iran. Russia is not satisfied with these actions, but is not taking any steps to support its ally.

Political strategist Taras Zagorodniy spoke about this in a commentary for Channel 24. He noted that the Kremlin is nervous, because they see that the United States of America has publicly entered the war on the side of Israel. The US also believes that the Iranian authorities need to be changed, and this is definitely not to Russia's advantage.

What the US attack on Iran showed

According to Taras Zagorodniy, the US strike on Iran's nuclear facilities showed that the air defense systems provided to the Iranians by their partners, in particular Russia and China, are completely powerless in countering a planned operation using the latest types of weapons.

The Kremlin is probably very nervous about this and loudly condemns the US attack on Iran, because, like the Americans, Europe also has certain types of modern weapons.

“The Russians understand that Donald Trump has made a fateful decision for himself, that he is ready to enter the war. This means that there could be big trouble for North Korea and the Russians,” the political strategist suggested.

Interestingly, on June 23, 2025, Iran launched strikes on the US Al Udeid Air Base in Qatar and a facility in Iraq, Sky News sources confirm. This is one of the key US bases in the region. Qatar said there were no casualties and the missiles were intercepted by air defenses, while Donald Trump monitored the situation with his team in the Situation Room.

It is worth noting that Russia supports Iran only at the diplomatic level, but Tehran expects more active assistance. This is stated in the ISW report, which notes that Iran is dissatisfied with the support from the Kremlin and expects Vladimir Putin to take specific actions to confront Israel and the United States.

Recall that on June 24 at dawn Iran attacked Israel with missiles. As a result of the Iranian strike, there are casualties in the south of the country. It is noted that the missile hit a residential building in Beersheba.
