Former US President Donald Trump has no plans to create a new political party. This was stated by the adviser to the campaign headquarters of the former American leader Jason Miller, reports CNN.

According to him, Trump “made it clear that his goal is to return the Senate and House of Representatives to Republicans in 2022.” Miller stressed that nothing is planned “outside of these efforts.”

Earlier, the Wall Street Journal newspaper reported with reference that Trump was thinking about creating a new political party. It was clarified that he discussed this issue with his assistants and other confidants. The creation of a new party will require significant investments. At the same time, Trump has a large number of supporters, some of whom were not involved in the politics of the Republican Party before his coming to power.

On January 14, the U.S. House of Representatives voted to impeach former U.S. President Donald Trump in the wake of the recent riots in Washington. The debate lasted over seven hours. 232 legislators voted to impeach Trump because of incitement to insurrection, while 197 voted against.
