Trump will be offered to be vaccinated against coronavirus

US President Donald Trump and other high-ranking US officials will soon be offered a coronavirus vaccine. Bloomberg writes about this, citing sources.

According to the newspaper, the vaccine will be offered to officials performing vital functions for the country in all three branches of government. They are expected to be vaccinated starting Monday, December 14, with vaccines from Pfizer and BioNTech, which have received emergency clearance in the United States. The agency notes that the vaccination will last ten days so that when side effects occur, the vaccinated officials do not feel them at the same time. It is noted that such a measure will convince Americans of the safety of the vaccine.

National Security Council spokesman John Ullith confirmed the plan. “The American people need to be confident that they are receiving the same safe and effective vaccine as senior officials in the United States government,” he said.

Earlier, the head of the US Center for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Robert Redfield, gave the green light to the start of vaccination against coronavirus, signing on Sunday, December 13, the recommendations of the expert council on the use of the COVID-19 vaccine from Pfizer and BioNTech. The first vaccinations will begin on Monday, December 14th.

The American leader contracted COVID-19 in October. His wife Melania also tested positive. A few days later, the president was found to have antibodies to infection, and after a while Trump announced that he had recovered from the coronavirus and received immunity. Later it became known that the youngest son of the politician Barron had been ill with COVID-19, he suffered the infection asymptomatically.
