According to the press secretary of Donald Trump's campaign, the 94 executive orders signed by Joe Biden in his first week as president "led to a crisis at the border and an economic crisis".

Newly elected US president Donald Trump will rescind executive orders issued by the current US President Joe Biden's administration during his first week in office.

Trump campaign spokesperson Caroline Leavitt said this in an interview with Fox News.

“This will be a rescinding of all the executive orders that President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris signed to move away from the effective policies of the first Trump administration,” she said, adding that Trump will sign “dozens of orders” during his first week in the Oval Office.

According to Leavitt, the 94 orders signed by Biden during his first week in office “led to a crisis at the border and an economic crisis crisis.”

“That's why Trump was re-elected to the presidency, to reverse the Biden and Harris administration's moves,” said a spokesperson for Trump's campaign.

Recall that US President-elect Donald Trump will meet with incumbent President Joe Biden at the White House on Wednesday, November 13.
