The Antifa movement will be officially recognized as a terrorist organization in the United States. This was announced on Sunday, May 31, by the President of America Donald Trump, without disclosing details.
His supporters in the comments to the post note that this is the right decision in the face of the current riots.
As of Sunday, dozens of US cities are undergoing street protests that began after the death of African-American George Floyd in a police arrest and have already led to more deaths. The authorities promised that they would view clashes with the police or threats against law enforcement officers as terrorism.
Almost a year ago, in July 2019, Trump already made a similar statement today, calling the anti-fascists “cowardly psychos with radical left views.”
According to data from open sources, “Antifa” is not a single organization, but autonomous groups of people existing in many countries of the world, who have declared themselves fighters against neo-Nazism. They often behave as aggressively as the neo-Nazis themselves towards migrants.
Earlier, on January 24, a cell of Americans preparing for a racial war and the creation of a “white ethno-state” was revealed in the States. Members of this neo-Nazi group communicated with each other via the Internet, discussed acts of violence against Jews and African Americans in secret chats, methods of making explosive devices.
