Donald Trump

US President Donald Trump called for an end to the counting of votes cast in the presidential election. The head of state announced this on Twitter.

“Stop counting!” – reads a short entry in the microblog of the American leader.

In the next message, Trump said that ballots that arrived in the mail after Election Day would not be counted. The social network has flagged this post as “misleading.”

Earlier, Business Insider reported that Trump's campaign headquarters is seeking to stop this process in the states of Michigan, Pennsylvania and Georgia. The reason for this is that the Republican representatives were not provided with access to a number of places for unpacking and counting ballots – according to the Trump side, this is contrary to the law.

On November 4, Trump announced the manipulation of votes. According to him, votes for his main opponent, Democrat Joe Biden, are suddenly found in the states of Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan. “They are working hard to make the [Republican] 500,000 vote advantage in Pennsylvania disappear as soon as possible. It's the same in Michigan and other [states]! ” – wrote Trump.

November 3 is general election day in the United States. Citizens elect a president and vice president, and 35 senators, the entire House of Representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives are elected. The current head of state, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, who served as vice president under Barack Obama, are fighting for the top post.
