Trump triumphs in critical state Florida

by alex

US President Donald Trump preliminarily defeated Democratic rival Joe Biden in the key state of Florida. Fox News reports.

In Florida, 29 electors are at stake. As a result of counting 98 percent, Trump won 51.3 percent of the vote, while Biden got 47.8. These are quite unexpected results, since during the election campaign the Democrats staked on him.

Trump is also known to be ahead of Biden in a number of so-called “swing states.” At 7.15 Moscow time, he has 55 percent in Pennsylvania, while Biden has only 42 after counting nearly half of the votes. Trump is also ahead in key Ohio, where he has 53 percent versus Biden's 45 percent. The Republican also leads the vacillating Georgia and Wisconsin so far and has overtaken the Democrat in North Carolina. At the same time, in the number of already known electors, Biden is ahead – 207 versus 148.

November 3 is general election day in the United States. Citizens elect a president and vice president, and 35 senators, the entire House of Representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives will be elected. The current head of state, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, who served as vice president under Barack Obama, are fighting for the top post.
