The US President made a similar statement regarding China, warning Xi Jinping of the possibility of “bombing Beijing” in the event of an attack on Taiwan.

US President Donald Trump once threatened Russian dictator Vladimir Putin to “bomb the hell out of Moscow” to deter him from invading Ukraine.

This was reported by the CNN television channel, which received an audio recording of a closed meeting of donors in 2024.

“I told Putin, 'If you go into Ukraine, I'm going to bomb the hell out of Moscow. I'm telling you, I have no choice.' And then Putin said, 'I don't believe you.' But he believed me 10 percent,” Trump said, according to the recording.

As CNN notes, he later claimed to have conveyed a similar warning to Chinese leader Xi Jinping, telling him that “the US will bomb Beijing.”

Audio recordings of 2024 fundraising events in New York and Florida were obtained by journalists Josh Dawsey, Tyler Pager and Isaac Arnsdorf, who detailed some of them in their new book, “2024.” Trump’s campaign declined to comment on the contents of the recordings, CNN reports.

Recall that Donald Trump said that he was unhappy with the negotiations with Vladimir Putin on ending the Russian war against Ukraine, because he is “always very nice, but it turns out that it doesn’t mean anything,” so he is “seriously considering” sanctions.

The US president reiterated that he was “very unhappy” with Putin after their phone call on July 3. Trump also accused the Russian president of killing “too many people,” including his own soldiers.
