US President Donald Trump's press secretary, Kayleigh Makinani, has contracted the coronavirus. She wrote about this on her Twitter.
“Previously, the test results constantly showed negative results, but on Monday morning I was diagnosed with COVID-19. At the same time, I did not notice any symptoms in myself, ”said Trump's subordinate. Makiani stressed that she did not have close contact with either journalists, producers or other people who attended a briefing at the White House last week.
She stressed that she would immediately isolate herself, but would continue to work “for the benefit of American citizens.” CNBC notes that Makiani is not the first person in contact with Trump who has been diagnosed with coronavirus in recent days: among them are campaign manager Bill Stepien, former New Jersey Governor Chris Christie and several Republican senators.
The American leader announced a positive test for coronavirus on October 2. His wife Melania Trump was also infected. The President promised to immediately begin treatment and self-isolate.
