The president of the aggressor state stated that Russia “will achieve its goals and will not back down from them.”

The telephone conversation between US President Donald Trump and his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin lasted almost an hour and touched, in particular, on the war in Ukraine.

This was reported to Russian propagandists by the Russian president's assistant for foreign policy issues, Yuri Ushakov.

According to him, Trump again raised the issue of an early end to military action. In response, Putin assured his interlocutor that the search for a political negotiated solution to the conflict was continuing.

At the same time, the Kremlin leader emphasized that Russia “will achieve its goals and will not back down from them.”

“In general, the conversation, as always, between these two leaders was on the same wavelength, was frank, businesslike and concrete. The presidents will, of course, continue their communication. There is such an agreement,” Ushakov said.

Let us recall that earlier Russian President Vladimir Putin stated that Russia allegedly does not demand Ukraine’s capitulation, but is waiting for recognition of the “realities” that have developed on the front .
