US President Donald Trump responded to criticism in his address for the fact that he “gets along” with Russian President Vladimir Putin. RIA Novosti reports.
Trump said he is often told that his mutual sympathy with Putin is terrible. However, the US President is confident that, on the contrary, it is good. So, according to Trump, it is absolutely normal for the leaders of the two countries to be liked by a friend. He stressed that no one wants to start a war.
The American leader added that he is also often criticized for “getting along” with the head of the DPRK Kim Jong-un, President of the People's Republic of China Xi Jinping and former Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe.
Earlier, former Trump lawyer Michael Cohen revealed the attitude of the American leader towards his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. It is noted that Trump likes Putin and the way he runs the country. According to Cohen, the head of the White House liked the fact that the Russian leader was able to “take control of an entire nation and run it like his own company.”
