US President Donald Trump has significantly narrowed the electoral gap from his rival Joe Biden. This is evidenced by forecasts of the Fox News channel.

According to preliminary data at 08:50 Moscow time, Joe Biden will receive the support of 237 electors, Donald Trump – 210 electors. A minimum of 270 electors is required to win. Biden got just 62.6 million votes, while Trump got 61 million.

Earlier it was reported that the calculation of the results of the US presidential elections will be delayed, most likely for several days. Wisconsin officials are known to have said they will not announce results tonight. In Michigan, the state secretary warned of the need for another day to count the votes. The situation is similar in Pennsylvania, where votes can count for several days, which could delay the announcement of the winner by several days.

November 3 is general election day in the United States. Citizens elect a president and vice president, and 35 senators, the entire House of Representatives, 13 governors and local government representatives will be elected. The current head of state, Republican Donald Trump and Democrat Joe Biden, who served as vice president under Barack Obama, are fighting for the top post.
