Trump said that the United States will no longer be a “stupid country”.

The President of the United States Donald Trump believes that the introduction of duties on goods from Canada, Mexico and China is appropriate, although could be painful for the American economy. He said that the countries he listed, as well as others, are “robbing America.”

He wrote about this on his social network Truth Social.

“Countries like Canada, Mexico, China, and many others that cannot be named have continued to rob America for decades, both in trade, and in crime and the supply of drugs that are allowed to flow freely into America,” Trump wrote.

Trump said that the United States will no longer be a “stupid country.” He called on countries to manufacture goods in the United States if they want to avoid tariffs on their products. The President is of the position that the United States “should not lose trillions of dollars subsidizing other countries.”

“This is going to be America's Golden Age! Will it hurt? Maybe. Maybe not. But we are going to make America great again, and it will all be worth the price,” Trump summed up.

It was previously reported that the introduction of additional tariffs on goods from Canada, Mexico and China was the first step in a trade war initiated by US President Donald Trump.

We previously reported that US President Donald Trump is likely planning to impose a tariff on the European Union.
