US President Donald Trump refused to postpone the decision on the purchase of the TikTok application, which belongs to the Chinese company ByteDance. His words are reported by Interfax.

Trump stressed that September 15 is the deadline for resolving the issue, and there will not be any postponement. He noted that the situation with the purchase of the service is progressing. “Let's see what happens. It will either be closed or sold, ”the American leader stated.

Earlier it was reported that the owners of the social network thought about making a compromise with the United States and thereby avoiding the complete sale of the company's American operations. According to sources, the issue of sale became especially relevant after the decision of the Chinese authorities to restrict the export of certain technologies to the United States.

On August 23, it became known that ByteDance will sue the administration of the American president. This was a response to the measures of the American government. On August 6, US President Donald Trump signed two decrees prohibiting any transactions with TikTok owner ByteDance and WeChat owner Tencent. Both projects are developed by Chinese corporations. Washington believes that each of the applications “threatens national security, foreign policy and the US economy.”
